ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - According to the Ector County Sheriff’s Department, an inmate escaped from custody at the Ector County Courthouse, Thursday afternoon.

ECSO says while a deputy was attempting to handcuff the inmate, he escaped.

The suspect evaded police in Downtown Odessa but was arrested near Odessa Regional Medical Center.
